Welcome

An oral history of Navy SEALs in Vietnam.

Operation Green Faces is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, national, non-profit organization curating the definitive oral history library of the U.S. Navy SEALs starting from their creation in 1962 through their role in the Vietnam War.

Together in conjunction with the National Navy SEAL Museum in Ft. Pierce, Florida, our mission is to not only fill in the historical gaps in Naval Special Operations history but to also conduct a “roll call” and reconnect those men who have lost communication with their brotherhood through the years.

NAVY SEAL Oral History

a story of pirates, heroes, and service

What makes Vietnam Era Navy SEALs so special?

Who named them the “Devils in Green Faces?”

Why haven’t these histories been recorded before?

HOW CAN yoU HELP SAVE HISTORY?

Whether you are a Vietnam vet yourself or have a loved one who served, you can be a part of this too.

Our greatest challenge is getting the word out to these men, letting them know that historians want to hear their stories, and starting the conversation.

We need your voices and your attention. Do you know a retired Navy SEAL? Send him our website.
